Today we reviewed the syllabus and completed the Optimization Assignment in small groups.

  • Right a short lesson (about five minutes long) designed to explain a mathematical concept to your classmates.
  • Provide at least one solution to a problem corresponding to this concepts.
  • You will present this in small groups tomorrow.

Today we analyzed limits algebaically. Students also received their textbooks.

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015

Today we learned the proper mathematical definition of continuity. Students complete a handout on continuity.

I also assigned Problem Set 1.

I was out today. I still plan on having our test on Friday. We will cover one last topic and review tomorrow during long block.

Today students learned how to use the chain rule, and then we solved derivatives using the Power Rule, Product Rule, Quotient Rule and Chain Rule
